RCG COURSE INTRODUCTION AND COURSE OUTLINE ( Responsible Conduct of Gambling : SITHGAM006A or THHADG03B)

It is mandatory for working in the gaming industry (pubs, clubs, casinos and venues promoting the use of gaming machines, table games, keno, TAB and all other gambling services), to have completed an approved RCG course. The aim of this course is to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding required to identify and assist problem gamblers, provide assistance to family and friends and assist with self exclusion procedures in order to minimize harm to the individual and community.

Duration and Hours: 1 day RCG course (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) Wednesday 9:15am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm
6 hours face to face with a qualified RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) trainer

Course Introduction: Gaming machines can be found in more than 3000 venues across New South Wales. By law any staff with gaming related functions must have an RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling). Since many employers prefer multi-skilled employees, holding an RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) increases your chance of obtaining work in pubs and clubs. The NSW gaming machine industry is worth more $5 billion a year, so employment prospects are expected to remain strong well into the future.

Course Outline: The aim of the RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) course is to provide candidates with a knowledge of responsible gambling practices and the law. The RCG course is a competency based 6 hour program that: Describes the context of gambling and gaming in NSW Explains the impact and indicators of problem gambling and gaming Describes the legislative framework for responsible conduct of gambling and gaming Outlines methods of implementing responsible conduct of gambling and gaming strategies Lists the benefits of implementing responsible conduct of gambling and gaming practices The RCG course features: Open book test. Candidates are welcome to re-sit the test Receive your RCG Certificate the same day you pass the test you Face to face workshops using visual aids, group work and printed materials Work at a comfortable pace with experienced trainers in a friendly environment Central City location with quality facilities including: a lunch room, student kitchen & internet lounge Course Outcomes This course is accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB NSW), and is approved by the NSW Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (Liquor Administration Board) as satisfying the RCG training provisions. ONLY RCG courses approved by the NSW Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority entitle the holder to work in licensed premises in NSW. Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a Responsible Conduct of Gambling statement of attainment (SITHGAM006A or THHADG03B) certificate, enabling candidates to apply for positions in licensed gaming venues such as pubs and registered clubs.

1. The Training Provider is bound by the legislation of the Australian Government in their responsibilities to overseas students. Details of this legal framework, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and associated legislations can be found at http://aei.dest.gov.au
2. The Training Provider is not bound to accept any application. If the Training Provider rejects the application, then fees paid will be refunded in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
3. All fees are payable to RSASydney.com or RCGSydney.com in Australian dollars only. A credit card transaction fee $2 applies to all payments made by credit card. The credit card transaction fee is non-refundable
4. Your place on the course will not be confi rmed until receipt of full payment and confi rmation by the Training Provider (subject to availability at time of payment)
5. Course and/or course fees paid cannot be transferred
6. All cancellation, refund, and/or deferment requests must be made in writing and must be accompanied by supporting documentation. Requests are to be forwarded to info@rcgsydney.com and are not be deemed effective until confirmed by The Training Provider
7. If you cancel your enrolment more than 48 hours prior to the course commencement date, RSASydney/RCGSydney will refund all tuition fees paid less an administration fee of AU$10
8. If you cancel your enrolment 48 hours or less prior to the course commencement date, and/or if you fail to commence the course, no refunds will be given
9. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will not be admitted to the course. Cancellation fees will apply in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
10. If you defer your course start date 48 hours or less prior to the course commencement date, RSASydney.com or RCGSydney.com will charge a deferment fee equivalent to 50% of the course fee (where enrolled in a package deal, the deferment fee will apply to the full individual course fee). Where you are granted a course deferment and later cancel prior to the new commencement date, no refunds will be given
11. Where a refund is due, refunds will be processed within 14 days once confi rmed by The Training Provider. Refunds will be paid in Australian dollars only to the original remitter of the fees paid
12. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the name on this application is legible and correct. Fees apply for the reissuing of certificates (including name changes, and lost and damaged certifi cates)
13. The Training Provider Terms and Conditions of Enrolment and Cancellation and Refund Policy may differ from that of a Representative of RsaSydney.com or Rcgsydney.com.
14. RSASydney.com/RCGSydney.com reserves the right to change its schedule of fees, Terms and Conditions, course schedule, and/or class locations at anytime without notice
15. RSASydney.com / RCGSydney.com reserves the right to cancel a course and/or enrolment prior to the commencement date of a course, in which case, fees paid will be refunded in full in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
16. RSASydney.com and RCGSydney.com may be subject to the Privacy Act 1988 and/or state or territory privacy legislation. In either case, exemptions to information sharing exist, particularly in case of emergencies or law enforcement activities. The information provided by you (including but not limited to your contact details) in all forms of correspondence between you and RSASydney.com and RCGSydney.com may be shared between
RSASydney.com and RCGSydney.com and the Australian Government and designated authorities, and if relevant, the Tuition Assurance Scheme and the ESOS Assurance Fund Manager. The information may also be used for
general communication with you and for promoting compliance between you and RSASydney.com and RCGSydney.com. The ESOS Act further outlines circumstances in which this information may be shared
17. This agreement, and the availability of RSASydney.com and RCGSydney.com complaints and appeals processes, does not remove your right to take action under Australias consumer protection laws
