This course deals with the skills and knowledge requirements for responsible conduct of gambling under State/Territory legislation. All staff working in gaming areas of hotels and registered clubs are required to complete this course.This course is VETAB (NSW) and NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR formerly LAB) approved. (Taken from Industry National Competency SITHGAM006A - SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality and Events - Certificate III in Hospitality)

- Statutory & other signage
- Self-exclusion schemes
- Strategies for preventing underage gambling
- Importance of advising patrons of assistance available to problem gamblers
- Implementation of House Policies and industry codes of practice
- Understanding duty of care
- Alcohol and gambling
- Appreciating the benefits of conducting gaming in a responsible manner
- About the industry, legislation and employer expectations

Duration: 6 & 1/2 Hours for full training course.

The Training provider's cancellation policy is:
Notice given within 2 working days prior to course commencement - No Refund.
Notice given more than 2 working days prior to course commencement - Full refund.
Rescheduling, notice must be given more than 2 working days prior to the course commencement. If rescheduling notice given within less than 2 working days prior the course commencement, an administrative fee of 50% of course cost will apply.
The Training provider reserves the right to cancel any training at any time. If a class is cancelled by the Training provider, participants have the option of rescheduling to the next available date or to receive a full refund of the course fees paid. If participant fails to attend the course, course fee will be forfeited.
